Hello,
We have PROD and DR servers with the following IPs and hostnames:
PROD = 192.168.0.100 proddb.abc.com
DR = 192.168.0.200 drdb.abc.com
The DR database right now is mounted only and is in continuous recovery.
When disaster strikes, PROD is down and DR database is open resetlogs.
My problem is, when DR is now activated, the application is not configured to connect to its IP & hostname.
So we need to change DR ip and hostname to take over PROD ip and hostname.
But then again, if we change it to new IP and hostname, the database will have issues becaues it is registered to DR's IP and hostname
