Introduction to Jutsu

utsu, or skills/techniques, are the mystical arts a ninja will utilize in battle. To use a jutsu, the ninja will need to use his chakra. Chakra comes from two places. (1) the body energy inherent in your trillions of cells and (2) the mental & spiritual energy gained from exercise and experience. For more information on chakra, click here.

To perform a jutsu, the ninja will bring out and release these two energies. By forming handseals, the ninja is able manifest the desired jutsu. Because of the extensive number of hand seals and different combinations, there are thousands of potential jutsu to be discovered.

Based on which jutsu the ninja uses, the type and amount of chakra will be different as would the elements you would need to employ. The five main elemental styles are also the five names for the Five Great Shinobi Countries: Fire, Wind, Lightning, Earth and Water. Each ninja has the potential to better utilize one of these styles and potentially more. A special elemental detecting paper is used to determine ones type. The paper comes from trees which are specially grown with chakra. When the ninja imbues the paper with a portion of their chakra, the paper will alter to reveal one's type. The paper will rip in two for Wind, burn for Fire, become wet for Water, fall apart for Earth and crumple for Lightning.

The five elements themselves form a cyclical strong and weak relationship against each other. The element of Fire is stronger than Wind, as the usage of Wind merely increases the strength of Fire. So if a Fire jutsu came up against an equal strength Wind jutsu, the Fire jutsu is more likely to win out. Wind in turn is stronger than Lightning. Lightning is stronger than Earth and Earth in stronger than Water. Water finishes the cycle by naturally winning out over Fire.

There are three major types of jutsu: ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu which are discussed further in tabs II, III, and IV respectively. other jutsus, such as kekkei genkais, Fuuinjutsu, and Doujutsu are discussed in the fifth tab. kekkei genkais are discussed in more detail in tab XII.

There are six ranks of jutsu - E-Rank, D-Rank, C-Rank, B-Rank, A-Rank, and S-Rank which are discussed further in tabs VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, and XI respectively.

Ninjutsu

injutsu is a term referring to almost any technique which allows the user to do something that they otherwise would be incapable of doing, including the usage of weapons. Unlike genjutsu, which makes the opponent see illusions, the effects of ninjutsu are real. They vary greatly in purpose, with the simpler ninjutsu serving such tasks as transforming the user or allowing them to evade attacks. These techniques are often second-nature for experienced shinobi, who can use them at will. More complex ninjutsu manipulate one's surroundings or utilize the elements, respectively serving such tasks as healing others or manipulating nature transformations.

Ninjutsu, most of the time, relies on chakra and hand seals to be effective. The hands are put in sequential positions that moulds and manipulates chakra in the necessary manner to perform a technique. This is not always needed, however, and some techniques become second nature to experienced ninja, after which they can perform them at will.

Additionally, there is the kind of technique that can be classified as a basic or advanced elemental technique, the basic type are techniques with specific elements (wind, water, fire, earth, or lightning), the advanced type combine two or three of the basics elements and creates a new one.

When creating a ninjutsu, the two methods of manipulating chakra are referred to as shape transformation and nature transformation:

- Shape transformation deals with controlling the form, movement, and potency of chakra.
- Nature transformation usually deals with changing the physical properties of chakra into an element.

These two methods can be implemented separately or together in order to create a ninjutsu.

It is said that the Sage of the Six Paths was the first to explain the mysteries of chakra, travelling throughout the world to spread his ideas and religion, the Ninshū. The teachings were meant to give people a better understanding of themselves, as well as others, and lead the world into an era of peace. However, as time wore on, ninshū would eventually come to be known as ninjutsu, a more weaponised version of the Sage's teachings.

It can be used in collaboration with taijutsu to create nintaijutsu techniques.

The Five Elements

Katon, or Fire Element, takes the form of fire and flame attacks. These can be fire balls or extended flame throwing. Fire is typically a specialized offensive element.

Fuuton, or Wind Element, takes the form of wind based attacks. These can be huge gusts or sustained wind storms. Wind is typically a specialised offensive element, good for close to mid-range attacks.

Raiton, or Lightning Element takes the form of electrical and lightning based attacks. When used in conjunction with metal based weapons, the power becomes amplified. Lightning is good for middle to long-range attacks.

Doton, or Earth Element, takes the form of earth and mud based attacks. These can be walls made from mud or the ninja maneuvering himself below ground to attack his opponent from below. Earth can change the hardness composition of objects, making something hard as steel or soft as clay.

Suiton, or Water Element, takes the form of water based attacks. These can be walls of water used as shields or water formed into large striking jets. In this regard, Water is very diverse when it comes to shape modification.

Genjutsu

enjutsu are techniques that are employed in the same fashion as ninjutsu, requiring chakra and hand seals. However, the primary difference between the two is that the effects of genjutsu are illusory; instead of attacking the victim's body, like taijutsu or ninjutsu, genjutsu techniques manipulate the flow of chakra in the victim's brain, thus causing a disruption in their senses.

This is frequently used to create false images or to cause pain from trauma (because the body is led to believe it is in pain); however, there are plenty of other uses depending on the situation. They are not used as often as ninjutsu because they don't physically harm the opponent. Genjutsu can also be used to manipulate others, similar to brainwashing by feeding the victim illusive suggestions. However, there exists at least one genjutsu, Izanagi, that has the opposite effects to normal genjutsu, by changing reality to illusion and vice versa. Genjutsu can also be used for other supplementary purposes such as interrogating an individual by breaking their will.

Genjutsu is created when a ninja controls the chakra flow of the opponent's cerebral nervous system, thereby affecting their five senses. Those with special abilities like the Uchiha clan's Sharingan — which can cast generic genjutsu — or with high intelligence have an easier time executing and countering genjutsu. Those under the influence of genjutsu will either appear to be unconscious or continue to move around under the pretense of the genjutsu. The latter is very effective in battle as a genjutsu user can make themselves appear to be somewhere else and attack the victim from behind or change the environment to make the victim see a flat plain where there is a steep cliff.

Genjutsu attacks usually require a lot of skill, and, if performed incorrectly, will not work. Genjutsu is most often used by ninja with very precise chakra control and very high intelligence.

To combat the effects of Genjutsu, there are two options. The first option is for the ninja to stop the flow of chakra in their body, and then apply an even stronger power to disrupt the flow of the casters chakra. The second option is to have an outside ninja unaffected by the Genjutsu make body contact, and use their chakra to disrupt the casters flow.

Taijutsu

aijutsu is a basic form of techniques and refers to any techniques involving the martial arts or the optimization of natural human abilities. Taijutsu is executed by directly accessing the user's physical and mental energies, relying on the stamina and strength gained through training. It typically does not require chakra, though chakra may be used to enhance its techniques. Taijutsu generally requires no hand seals to perform, occasionally making use of certain stances or poses, and are far quicker to use than ninjutsu or genjutsu. Taijutsu is simply put: hand-to-hand combat.

Although it is used by nearly all ninja, some ninja use taijutsu almost exclusively. The taijutsu techniques are the right choices for those that want to save their time and chakra, or for those who rely on their physical attributes. It can also be used uniquely in collaboration with ninjutsu to create nintaijutsu techniques.

Other Jutsus

ūinjutsu is a type of jutsu that seal objects, living beings, chakra, along with a wide variety of other things within another object. Fūinjutsu can also be used to unseal objects either from within something or someone. They allow the ninja to contain the elements and demons.

Dōjutsu are genetic ninja abilities that utilize the eyes, granting the wielder ocular abilities. Being a by-product of specific kekkei genkai, dōjutsu are not classified as one of the major jutsu types. They do not require the use of hand seals and in some cases facilitate in the use of or defense against genjutsu, taijutsu and ninjutsu and then defeat their opponent. All known dōjutsu also provide the user with some unique abilities, such as an extended field of vision or predictive capabilities. The use of dōjutsu often-time consumes a great deal of chakra. It should also be noted that along with the eye itself, techniques that stem from the eye's use are also known as dōjutsu.

By transplanting the eye in question, it is possible for people to possess the dōjutsu, despite not being in the clan that the dōjutsu originates from. Among all known dōjutsu, the Byakugan, Rinnegan, and Sharingan are known collectively as the Three Great Dōjutsu; Literally meaning "Three Great Eye Techniques").

Barrier Ninjutsu is the incorporation of barriers into techniques. essentially these techniques allow the users to manipulate barriers. the user can erect barriers that can be used to protect themselves, or to trap an opponent, amongst other various uses.

Bukijutsu are techniques that entail the use of any handheld weapons in combat, whether the users be shinobi or samurai. students of the academy are taught the use of ninja weapons and tools like shuriken and kunai, learning how to throw and wield them through target practice.

Chakra Absorption Techniques are techniques that allow the user to absorb another individual's chakra. they are typically used to absorb chakra from an opponent and add it to the user's own chakra reserves, allowing them to utilise it as if it were their own, while simultaneously exhausting the opponent's physical energy and limiting the techniques that they can perform.

Clone Techniques are techniques that create a copy of the user or objects used by them. the standard clone technique is considered the most basic of basic ninjutsu. despite this, clone techniques are very versatile and useful, and are often used to distract or fool enemies into thinking that they have delivered a critical or fatal hit to the user, leaving the enemy vulnerable. the various villages have created their own characteristic forms of clone techniques. besides these, there are a dozens of other clone techniques in existence, some of which are extraordinarily difficult to use. there are various methods of creating clones. the most commonly used clone techniques use only chakra to create the clone. after these, clone techniques that use a medium seem to be most common. these clone techniques use various elements to give the clone form and substance. there are also clone techniques that transform another person or animal into a clone of the user. finally, there are clone techniques that make use of genjutsu to create illusionary clones.

Juinjutsu is a type of technique used to bring someone under the control of the user. by applying a seal to the victim's body, the user brings the victim's abilities and actions under his/her control.

Kenjutsu pertains to techniques that entail the use of swords, whether the users be shinobi, or samurai. kenjutsu can be used in combination with taijutsu, ninjutsu, chakra flow and even genjutsu in order to achieve more devastating techniques.

Kinjutsu are techniques that have been banned from being taught or used.

Medical Ninjutsu is a branch of ninjutsu associated with healing, as well as the manipulation of their own, or anothers' body, practised by shinobi categorised as "medical-nin". the use of medical ninjutsu requires very advanced chakra control, as well as extensive knowledge on such things as herbs, medicines, the human body and even poisons.

Reincarnation Ninjutsu are techniques that usually require or accomplish the transfer of life force between people. these techniques are generally classified as kinjutsu because the restoration of one life typically requires the sacrifice of the life of another, or that it violates the laws of nature and morality.

Senjutsu refers to a specialized field of techniques that allows the user to sense and then gather the natural energy around a person.

E-Rank Jutsu

-rank jutsus are jutsus that can be used by all academy students. including any custom jutsus, these are assumed to be known when creating an application, and are not required to be included in the known jutsus of any non-academy student applications.


BODY REPLACEMENT TECHNIQUE

this technique allows the user to quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant, an animal, or even another person, the moment an attack hits. this creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. exploding tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise.

CLOAK OF INVISIBILITY TECHNIQUE

this technique allows a ninja to take a cloak, or a piece of cloth, and blend into an object, making them invisible. this technique is only successful after repeated practice, as it will otherwise remain obvious to anyone else that the technique is being used.

CLONE TECHNIQUE

this technique creates intangible copies of the user. the clones are simply illusions and will dissipate when they come into contact with someone. these illusions can be seen through by various dojutsu (eye jutsu) abilities. these kinds of clones will not interrupt the movement around them. for example, if leaves were floating by, the leaves would move through the clone.

ONE THOUSAND YEARS OF DEATH

a very simple technique with an over-dramatic name, one thousand years of death is little more than inserting one's index and middle fingers into the opponent's rectum, causing constipation, pain, and/or embarrassment. some question whether to call this a real 'jutsu' and this technique is not taught at the academy.

ROPE ESCAPE TECHNIQUE

a basic jutsu taught at the academy, this jutsu allows a ninja to free themselves if they have been tied up. however, it is unknown how exactly this is done.

TRANSFORMATION TECHNIQUE

this jutsu allows the user to transform either themselves or another object into the appearance of another person, animal, or object. this jutsu is one of the most well-known jutsus for shinobi, and one of the most difficult e-ranked jutsus.

D-Rank Jutsu

-rank jutsus are jutsus that can be used by most genin. however, most genin only learn and are able to use their own specific "type" of jutsu. these types of jutsus can be used by genin and above level ninjas. these jutsus should be included in the known jutsus range. genin are generally only capable of learning d-ranked jutsus. please be aware of any limitations on custom-made jutsus.

BEAST HUMAN CLONE
Ninjutsu, Bunshinjutsu *

a modified version/mix of a transformation technique and a clone technique, this jutsu, unique to the inuzuka clan, allows a canine-user to transform their animal companion into a perfect copy of themselves. when combined with the four legs technique, the user and the animal become virtually impossible to tell apart, since both act equally animalistic.

this jutsu is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. to an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. there are varying levels of this technique. most genin cannot use it, despite being a d-rank jutsu.

this is a genjutsu that reveals the fears that dwell inside people's hearts. everyone has an image of the one thing they wouldn't want to ever see. this genjutsu is a technique that draws forth such an image from within the heart and has one mistake it for reality.

this jutsu simply appears to be a flying jump kick, often performed on the face of an enemy, while dramatically screaming the words "dynamic entry".

a ninjutsu where the user conceals themselves underground and drags the object of their attack down into the earth, robbing them of their freedom.

FOUR LEGS TECHNIQUE
Ninjutsu, Fighting Style *

this technique grants animal-like accelerated fighting instinct and reflexes. by stretching chakra around one's entire body and moving on all fours, one obtains super-high speed, like that of a wild animal. this jutsu is taught only to the members of the inuzuka clan.

HAZE CLONE TECHNIQUE

at first glance it seems like a regular clone technique, but the haze clone uses a cunning trap to lure out the enemy. using this technique together with earth release: underground projection fish technique, the enemy is led to believe that the real body is among the clones.

HIDDEN MIST TECHNIQUE

this displacement technique is a specialy of the ninja from kirigakure, where one causes a mist to spring fourth by lifting up some water, then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. the mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it.

LEAF GALE
Taijutsu, Offensive, Short-Range *

this move is a simple rear spinning low kick, but a strong enough user can send a large adult flying as if they weight nothing. the goal is to throw the enemy off balance, and deal damage to the lower half of their body.

LEAF WHIRLWIND
Tajutsu, Offensive, Short-Range *

a taijutsu where one launches a succession of high kicks and low kicks. firstly, the opponent's evasion margin is restrained upon seeing the high kick, thus augmenting the chances for the low kick to hit the mark. so originally the high kick is little more than a feint.

MANIPULATED SHURIKEN TECHNIQUE

with this technique a translucent string, both elastic and highly durable, is attached to a shuriken, making it possible to alter its path after having thrown it. an expert will have the ability to freely glide the shuriken in any direction with just a single movement of their fingertip.

MIST SERVANT TECHNIQUE
Genjutsu, Bunshinjutsu *

this genjutsu creates eerie black ninja illusions, which appear one by one from trees and rocks,and corner the enemy. their movements are slow, but when attacked they multiply, and in this way they appear like ghosts inhabiting the mist.

PAPER SHURIKEN
Ninjutsu, Offensive, Mid to Long Range *

a technique that consists of pouring one's chakra into a scrap of paper in a split second, hardening and sharpening it, so it can be used as a shuriken. it's sharpness is equal to that of a shuriken made of metal. the user can further increase the power of the shuriken by making it into certain shapes.

PIERCING FANG
Taijutsu, Offensive, Short to Mid Range *

the user spins at a ferocious speed and delivers many powerful beast-like attacks when contact is made with the target. the damage it can inflict on a human target can be extremely damaging, as it can readily tear through thick tree branches and jutsu reinforced earth wall; all of which with a radius thicker than the user itself.

SHADOW SHURIKEN TECHNIQUE

it's an extremely simple technique where two shuriken are piled onto another and thrown simultaneously. however, depending on the way it's used, it can prove its absolute efficiency. the trick is to somehow draw the enemy's attention towards the upper shuriken. then, to deal with the path of the lower shuriken.

TEMPORARY PARALYSIS TECHNIQUE
Ninjutsu, Short to Mid Range

a technique for physical restraint, quite as if the opponent had been tied in invisible steel ropes. this is a basic ninjutsu usable even by genin, but its intensity will vary greatly according to the user's level. in addition, depending on the user, the technique can be cast on every target and once and won't fail a shinobi during his missions. this debilitates the victim for a short period of time, which allows the user to either strike again or, in some cases, take the target into custody.

C-Rank Jutsu

-rank jutsus are jutsus that can be used by most chunin level ninjas. c-rank techniques, however, are one of the first techniques that a ninja will learn that require some amount of training. c-rank jutsus should be listed in the application under known jutsus. all chunin and above leveled ninja can learn these techniques, while only a few genin level ninja can. please be aware of any limitations on custom-made jutsus.

ASSAULT BLADE

this technique allows the user to hover multiple kunai in the air with his chakra, and direct them to an opponent. using this technique, the ninja can unleash a torrent of kunai much more quickly than if each one was thrown individually.

BARRAGE OF LIONS
Taijutsu, Offensive, Short Range *

this jutsu is a variant of rock lee's front lotus, which sasuke develops after using his sharingan to copy the first part of the move. the user gets behind an airborne opponent, and then delivers a series of blows that differ between use. all variations end with the opponent being thrown to the ground and kicked in the chest.

CHERRY BLOSSOM CLASH
Taijutsu, Offensive, Short-Range *

while some may see it as "superhuman strength", this technique is actually an application of medical ninjutsu, that demands the ability to concerate and minute chakra control. an immense amount of chakra is kneaded inside the body, and a moment later all of it is gathered into the target, which does a great amount of damage. with the damage done dependent on the amount of chakra used, it is also possible for a skilled shinobi to amass it to their fingertip.

CROW CLONE JUTSU
Ninjutsu, Bunshinjutsu *

a technique that produces a clone by projecting one's own chakra towards dozens of "crows". because it uses crows as a medium, it requires less chakra than the normal shadow clone technique, while still being able to perform techniques. the dozens of crows come together to form the body of a clone. when the chakra is projected by the user is severed, the crows disperse, though the user is still able to continue to speak through it.

CRUSHING PALM
Taijutsu, Fighting Style, Offensive, Short-Range *

this style of combat focuses on simple physical attacks. using simple palm strikes, shoulder thrusts, knee strikes, and punches, one can easily defeat an opponent in one or two blows. the strength of these attacks depend upon the strength of the user.

DANCING LEAF SHADOW
Taijutsu, Short-Range *

a technique where one follows the opponent, closely matching their body's movement, just like a leaf that dances in the air is followed by its shadow. the technique begins with a swift upper kick that will launch their target into the air. it is mainly used to position an opponent into a vulnerable aerial position. this move by itself is harmless, but it is usable as a stepping stone for a great many powerful jutsu. that said, it also has a rather high degree of difficulty.

DRUNKEN FIST
Taijutsu, Fighting Style, Offensive, Defensive, Short-Range *

drunken fist is a taijutsu style where the more you drink, the drunker you get, and the stronger you become. this unusual taijutsu is a unique style of combat. it can not be learned, nor can it be taught, or honed and refined through training and practice. drunken fist fighters are not simply drunk, they become human powerhouses who'll strike unpredictability, with no inhibitions, an explosive fury and without any second thoughts about their actions. once drunk, the user will lose their ability to know friend from foe and attack whomever is in their vicinity.

DUAL PIERCING FANG
Taijutsu, Collaboration Jutsu, Offensive, Short-Range *

the user and his partner spin at a ferocious speed and deliver many powerful beast-like attacks when contact is made with the target. the force of an attack is strong enough to drill through stone. this attack can be done alone, although it is less effective.

EARTH STYLE: HIDDEN MOLE JUTSU
Ninjutsu *

this technique changes earth into fine sand by channeling chakra into it, allowing the user to dig through it like a mole. the user can pinpoint where they are, despite being underground, by sensing the magnetic forces. they can also sense what is happening on the surface and use that information to launch a surprise attack on the enemy. one can also hide deep in the ground, escaping to a depth where the enemy can't reach.

EARTH STYLE: EARTH SWIM JUTSU
Ninjutsu *

a ninjutsu where one suddenly appears to the ground's surface. its efficiency will increase drastically if used in conjunction with a jutsu such as the haze clone technique to draw the enemy's attention. furthermore, it's even more efficient when employed in a crowded area that, if the target notices something, can be overrun by the nearby masses. this technique is used for sneaking and striking silently, like a fish underwater. as such it is a great strategy for guerrilla, and a likely resort, used quite often for things such as personality assassination.

EARTH STYLE: EARTHQUAKE SLAM

this technique causes the ground surrounding the enemy to spiral inwards on itself, burying them alive or crushing them. this jutsu is capable of causing quite a bit of damage to the area. this technique is much more damaging if used in rocky mountainous areas, or inside a cave.

EARTH STYLE: TERRA SHIELD

after striking the ground with one's hands, the user creates a large wall of earth in from of them. the defense is not perfect though, since a hard or drilling impact can puncture the wall. also, since this technique only guards frontal attacks, the enemy can easily attack from the side or even from above.

EARTH STYLE: UNDERGROUND SHARK JUTSU

after sinking underground by turning into fluid, the user can close in on the enemy with high speed, by swimming underground. since underground is a blind spot the target has no warning, allowing the user to launch a surprise attack. by using this technique in conjunction with a weapon, it also gains great effect as an "assault ninjutsu".

EXTREME DECAPITATING AIRWAVES

a more powerful version of the decapitating airwaves, the user creates a massive gust of cutting wind capable of totalling the surrounding area, wiping out anything in its path.

FINGER ENGRAVING SEAL
Ninjutsu, Fūinjutsu *

the user concentrates chakra into their finger and using the heat from that can apply writing on whatever they want. this allows them to write things on the skins of animals, iron plates, or a wide range of things. however, when doing so requires them to be very delicate with their chakra control. this jutsu causes slight discomfort for a living target and if it is on flesh, it will scar.

FIRE JUTSU: DRAGON FLAME JUTSU

the user breathes fire along a cord or any other type of long object, which rush forward in a straight line catching the enemy on fire. the flames are meant to target, and assault the enemy's upper body just like a projectile weapon.

FIRE STYLE: FLAME BOMBS

this jutsu technique is executed by the user gathing oil in their mouth which is created by chakra, spits it out, and ignites it. this technique simply shoots a flame bullet at the enemy. if the amount of oil that is prepared is kept down, the time it takes to invoke the technique is reduced. this allows the enemy to be stricken unaware, allowing the oil-containing flame bullet to burn them up completely. it is also possible to shoot out a series of flame bullets by partitioning the oil. if this technique s fired after covering the enemy with oil, it has plenty of power to wound, or kill.

a technique where chakra kneaded inside the body is converted into fire, and expelled from the mouth in a massive orb of roaring flame. the scope of the attack is altered by controlling the volume of chakra that is mustered. the released flames will engulf their target, and leave a crater on the ground's surface. the fireball is normally blown through a ring made by the thumb and index finger of the user.

FIVE SEALS BARRIER

this technique creates a barrier around a place by placing four "forbidden" tags in different locations surrounding, a fifth tag added on the location to be protected. the tags are placed on flat surfaces, and are connected with the user's chakra. this technique turns the entire range srurounded by the tags into a barrier space, and inside the space, the material destruction is "forbidden". using any kind of physical attack to try and destroy something in the barrier is folly, as it will only lead to injury. to cancel this, it is necessary to search for the five tags and tear them off simultaneously. meaning there must be at least five people on a team to cancel it.

HIDING IN A TOAD TECHNIQUE

the user summons a special diving toad from mount myōboku and hides inside its stomach. the frog is able to dive up to a hundred meters in fresh water, making it especially useful for infiltrating enemy camps that are surrounded by a river or a lake. the stomach of the frong also has a special barrier that obstructs chakra, protecting the user from detection-type ninjutsu.

the user summons two big snakes which crawl out from one's sleeves, and coil around the enemy capturing them. this is a great technique for capturing someone alive, or for inflicting damage by constriction, and if the situation calls for it, the snakes can bite the victim with their poison fangs. snakes summoned by this technique are on a whole other level in terms of intelligence and strength, compared to normal summons. it is said that even shinobi with great skill are unable to escape from this restraint.

SPIKY HUMAN BOULDER

with its effectiveness raised several times by using it together with weapons, this technique is an enhanced version of the akimichi-clan's secret human bullet technique. after wrapping ropes with kunai attached around body, the multi-size technique is used. from that state, one switches over to the human bullet tank. using the kunai as spikes, the rotation power increases, and the attack power also drastically goes up.

before an animal summon can be performed, a prospective summoner must first sign a contract with a given species. the contract can come in the form of a scroll or a tattoo, which is signed in the contractors own blood. after this, they need only perform the hand seals, offer an additional donation of blood, and use the same hand they signed the contract with to summon the creature. the amount of chakra used during the summoning technique determines how big the summoned creature can be. if a user attempts to summon an animal without first signing a contract, the user will be teleported to the home of the animal they have a natural affinity for. most people can only summon one kind of animal.

the user converts their chakra into an extremely sticky oil and spits this out as a huge mass. when the oil touches the target, their entire body is covered, and it prevents them from moving. simply washing away the oil with regular water wouldn't be so easy. furthermore, if a fire release technique is thrown at the target after this technique is used, they will be evenloped in flames in an instant. this jutsu can only be performed by those who have a contract with the toads.

VIBRATING SOUND DRILL

the melody arm, a porous metal device located on one's arm, is used to amplify the sound waves from arm movements to attack his opponent. by generating enough sound, one can use this chakra to redirect the waves in midair to his intended target. by damaging the victim's inner ear, the victim is rendered off-balance and nauseous.

the water clone technique is similar to the shadow clone jutsu, except it creates clones out of water. like other solid clone techniques, the clones can be used to perform tasks the user is unable or unwilling to do for themselves. the range of the clone is limited, however, as it can not travel very far from the original body without losing control. additionally, water clones have one-tenth of the original person's power. like other clone techniques, if the water clones are injured enough they will revert back to normal water.

this jutsu is used to trap a victim inside a virtually inescapable sphere of water. the only downside to this technique is that the user must keep at least one arm inside the sphere at all times in order for the victim to remain imprisoned. this jutsu can't be performed without a sufficiently large body of water to supply the water for it. despite the fact that the prison is made up entirely out of water, it is strong than steel. once trapped, the target is unable to move while within it due to the weight of the water. even so, the target is still able to speak.

the user kneads chakra, and converts it into water, and then spits it out in the form of condensated balls. the high-speed waterball attack possesses just as much power to kill as an actual gunshot. while this is a water release technique, it can still be employed someplace where no water is available, which is a great advantage. it's also possible to increase the power of destruction of the balls themselves by building up the chakra inside of them. the umber of bullets is determined while kneading chakra. by taking advantage of gravity, the bullets can brutally increase in power.

the user first attaches strings beforehand onto the tossed shuriken and the kunai thrown after it, then one shuriken is pulled back using a tree as an axis, based on the yo-yo's principle. the other shuriken and kunai are decoys, and the true attack is the shuriken that is pulled back. the trick in making this technique successful is to somehow be able to read the enemy's movements, which normally would require the sharingan.

this technique summons a small, gourd-shaped toad, a unique species of toad indigenous to mount myōboku. this technique is used to capture and isolate a victim by dragging them into the toad's stomach. isolated from the outside world by a barrier, the space inside the gourd toad's stomach is far larger than the surface size of the gourd toad itself. the environment inside the toad's stomach is a cavernous chamber, which includes a lake of strong corrosive gastric acid that can dissolve anything that should happen to fall into it, along with shores around the acid lake, and formations sticking out the lake. once trapped inside, an opponent is cut off from any allies and susceptible to attack, and can then be easily defeated.

BLACK SECRET TECHNIQUE MACHINE ONE SHOT

First the opponent must be trapped in the torso of black ant. after this is accomplished, crow separates into eight components. the torso is left behind while the arms, legs, and head are positioned around black ant, each with a sharp blade. the user guides the separate pieces into slits in nlack ant's torso, impaling the victim inside.

BUTTERFLY BULLET BOMBING

this is a life threatening technique used in combination with the red akimichi food pill, which burns away all of a ninja's excess fat and converts it into chakra. because the members of the akimichi clan tend to be overweight to support their jutsu, this pill can give them 100 times their normal chakra level. the intensely concentrated chakra that is gained leaks out from the backbone and becomes visible through friction with the shoulder blade, appearing like a butterfly wing. the user then concentrates the unique chakra into their fist, and then puts all their body weight behind the punch. the massive amount of chakra concentrated, is enough to change the user's body structure, and will die unless given medical attention soon after. this technique can only be used by the akimichi clan.

using high origami and ninjutsu skills, the user can turn his body and clothign into many sheets of paper. the user can then control, and reshape every shape at will, making such forms as weapons for attack, butterflies for spying, paper airplanes for quick transport, or simply covering her enemy in sheets of paper, restricting and asphyxiating them. in this form, one is weak to oil-based techniques, which causes the paper to stick, but one is not weak against water to the same extent.

DARK SEALING METHOD

this seal is used in conjunction with the four black fogs formation. after the user seals the individual in the container, this seal is added as another layer of protection. to create the seal, the user writes the incantation in blood on the sealing paper and then attaches it to the container before activating it with a hand seal.

DEAD SOUL JUTSU

using this jutsu, a person can temporarily reanimate a corpose, creating the illusion of a living person, and maneuver it at will with chakra. this is achieved by causing the heat to beat once more. the reanimated corpse can serve as either a short-time ally or an effective decoy. the traces of surgery can also be erased with chakra, because of which there's no difference, at first glance, with a live person.

DELICATE ILLNESS EXTRACTION TECHNIQUE

when a person has been afflicted by a pathogen or toxin, this medical ninjutsu can be used to draw out the agent and heal the damage. the cause of the illness is first determined by perceiving disturbances in the patient's chakra. then, using a chakra scalpel, an incision is made near the affected part. tsing their chakra, the medical-nin pushes a large volume of a medicinal fluid through the incision. the fluid then draws the poison out of the affected part(s) and serves as a medium through which the poison is suspended and then forced out of the person's body. this technique thus removes the poison, while simultaneously repairing the damage caused by the poison. after the agent is drawn out, it can be used to create an antidote or medicine after it has been analysed. this can then be given to the patient to ensure a complete recovery. this technique requires the utmost care and ability in diagnosis, incising and unmatched chakra control. therefore, it is considered an extremely difficult technique, even among medical ninjutsu.

this jutsu traps the victims inside a self-repairing dome of earth which is almost instantaneously able to reform. the user is able to absorb the chakra of anyone trapped inside, something he enjoyed greatly. however, the user's chakra was distributed throughout the dome, but not equally. near the back, the user's chakra was much weaker, making the dome weaker in that spot as well.

the user spews a stream of chakra-altered gun-powdered ash from their mouth, which surrounds the region. as the gunpowder it's composed entirely of ash, it stays in the air around the victim like a cloud. after surrounding the enemy with the ash, the user can ignite it with a flint placed on their teeth beforehand to create a spark, resulting in a violent explosion, burning the enemy. however, this technique requires keen senses to read the air currents, the insight to read the movements of the enemy, the tactical experience to not also enfold one's abilities in the flames, and careful attention for the timing of the ignition.

using chakra flow, this technique requires a bladed weapon; by feeding chakra into the weapon, the ninja will increase the length and density of his blade to strike an enemy from several feet out of the physical blade's range. this is accomplished by creating an invisible extension of chakra that shapes into an edge that functions like the normal blade itself. seeing the blade, the opponent may misjudge how far they need to move to avoid an incoming strike and thereby still be cut even if they manage to avoid the metal portion of the blade. the chakra-enhanced blades are strong and sharp enough to strike through solid rock or cut through iron. this technique works best with elemental chakra, especially with wind chakra for offensive cutting power.

when a person has been afflicted by a pathogen or toxin, this medical ninjutsu can be used to draw out the agent and heal the damage. the cause of the illness is first determined by perceiving disturbances in the patient's chakra. then, using a chakra scalpel, an incision is made near the affected part. using their chakra, the medical-nin pushes a large volume of a medicinal fluid through the incision. the fluid then draws the poison out of the affected parts and serves as a medium through which the poison is suspended and then forced out of the person's body. this technique thus removes the poison, while simultaneously repairing the damage caused by the poison.

primary lotus requires the opening of the first of the eight chakra gates, giving the user five times their normal strength. the user launches the opponent into the air and then uses dancing leaf shadow. once behind the opponent, the user restrains them and piledrives them into the ground headfirst while rotating at a ferocious speed. because it uses one of the chakra gates, the user is left extremely fatigued, making this jutsu a "double-edged sword".

by releasing the chidori in every direction, an electrical discharge flows from the user's entire body allowing him to affect multiple enemies. when using this attack on a great number of enemies at once, it can effectively double as an instant defence. the body of the person touched by the chidori will misinterpret the lightning nature as "electrical signals from the nerves", making its muscles contract. this causes the body to involuntarily go stiff, while at the same time receives damage. this attack can also be channelled through the ground to increase the range of the attack.

this is one of many variations of the chidori that uses shape transformation. it is specialized in more speed, by being transformed into countless sharp senbon, all aimed at the enemy. by increasing the amount of chakra used, the number of senbon also increases. it can become even more effective by using it together with the sharingan, allowing the user to precisely shoot for the enemy's vital points.

the original chidori gained its power by shaping it into a form sufficient for an electrical discharge and using it together with the user's own "thrust". this technique uses shape transformation to form the original chidori into a spear or blade-shape, adapting it for mid-range attacks with a maximum range of about five metres. although it's less powerful than the chidori, its increased range means there is less of a risk to the user. it also has the advantage of being able to be used for surprise attacks and capturing. when the enemy's body is pierced, the user can alter the spear's shape into multiple additional blades, increasing the number of wounds. the blade can also be swung in order to cut things as well as cause fatal injuries.

the user creates two shadow clones before proceeding to assault the enemy, with the clones attacking from the left and right and the user attacking from above. the assault occurs on three fronts simultaneously; it is almost impossible to catch the opponent flat-footed. furthermore, the mighty sword strikes are so severe that receiving a blow from just even one among the three will inevitably result in a fatal wound. the style and magnificence of how the user and their shadow clones leap and swing their swords at the opponent's upper body creates an orbital pattern, the elegance of which is reminiscent to the shape of a crescent moon, hence the technique's name.

this technique is used to suppress technique-induced marks on a person. marks of weaker power can be completely suppressed by this technique alone, but for marks of higher power it will cause the seal's power to become dependent on the recipient's own willpower to some extent, especially if the sealer is not experienced enough to strengthen the seal with his own power. it is also capable of holding back certain kekkei genkai. this seal requires a high number of hand seals to be performed and consumes large amount of chakra from the user. preparation for this technique requires two concentric circles with kunai placed in intervals along the circumference, in addition to a number of characters written in blood that radiate out from the centre of the cursed seal. this technique is quick, but painful. the seal can be removed at any time by the caster or whoever the seal is on. since this seal relies on the will of the individual on whom it is placed, the affected may be able to will it away without an unsealing technique.

HEALING RESUSCITATION REGENERATION TECHNIQUE

this is a very difficult medical ninjutsu and as such the success rate of this type of treatment isn't very high. teamwork between the users is more important than anything else for a successful treatment. to begin a large, square seal is drawn on the floor and the patient is placed at the center. four medical-nin sit at the corners and one at the head to lead the operation. a portion of an injured individual's body is used as a medium, and its cells are converted to regenerate a missing section of the body. as an agglomeration of cells, even hair is a useful medium. as the medium is converted the missing section of the body is filled up with new cells. controlling the chakra into matching the proportion of cells is extremely hard, so the treatment requires extended periods of time. the medical-nin on hand actually have to trade places after tiring, indicating just how long it takes.

this is a ninja escape technique that allows the user to control how light is reflected around their body with chakra inflections. the technique also erases the user's scent and shadow, and is usable on any terrain, making it ideal not only for covert manoeuvres but also offensive strikes. perceiving the user's position is possible only for ninja who are astute enough to observe minute variations within their surrounding environment, such as distortions of air currents in the immediate vicinity or distinguishing sounds, i.e. footsteps etc. the usefulness of this ability can be entirely negated by those with special vision or sensory skills, except for particularly adept users, who can completely erase even their chakra signature with it.

HYUGA MAIN FAMILY'S JUINJUTSU

this seal is branded on all branch house members in the hyūga clan by members of the main house. the main purpose is to seal the byakugan at death, so that its secrets never fall into the hands of the enemy. when the hyūga dies, the seal disappears, sealing away the byakugan with it. the secondary purpose is to control the branch house members, since it can be activated at will by a main house member with a hand seal only known by them to destroy the wearer's brain cells. the seal is branded on a branch member's forehead when the next heir or heiress of the main house turns three years old and is only removed upon their death. branch house members tend to keep their foreheads concealed because of the seal.

an extremely high-level technique, used as a medical ninjutsu. the human body is controlled with electrical signals from the brain, but a person who had those electrical signals cut off with this technique will become unable to make their body move as they want. by transforming the chakra within one's body and giving it the properties of electricity, one creates an electric field. as soon as a strike of the hand lands, electricity is poured into the enemy's nervous system, severing the signals and deranging their body control. the target's body moves in any way, except how they want it to move. for the common shinobi, battle, not to mention even just walking, will become impossible. however, the victim can partially overcome the technique if they manage to relearn the connection between their brain and their limbs. this feat however is not an easy one and takes a high amount of concentration and intelligence.

MEMORY-CONCEALING MANIPULATIVE SAND TECHNIQUE

the user seals away the target's memories by burying an extremely small needle into the brain's memory centre. the memories can be restored by cancelling the technique, thereby destroying the needle. if a subordinate had this operation performed on their brains and has infiltrated in enemy camp, they can safely perform spy activity over a long period of time with no memory of the procedure. if the user cancels the technique, the target will once again remember their mission as sleeper agent.

MIRROR SUDDEN ATTACKER TECHNIQUE

a secondary trap is laid under the five-seal barrier. this technique is automatically started when the "forbidden" tags are removed. an exact copy of the person who removed the tag appears with their appearance, weapons, battle skills, and so on. because the double has a fixed amount of stamina and doesn't feel exhaustion, it has an advantage in a drawn-out battle. in order to cancel this technique and defeat their copy, the one who removed the tag has no choice but to somehow push past the previous limits that they had at the time they removed the tag.

MORNING PEACOCK

the morning peacock is a certain-kill taijutsu. the principle of this taijutsu is to rapidly increase the body's abilities by opening up to and including the sixth of the eight gates, and then to strike the enemy down with countless punches. the technique is started by kicking the enemy into the air, which for most would be an instant kill. the user then jumps into the air in a distinctive stance and begins punching the enemy repeatedly. the speed of the punches is so fast that they are set ablaze by sheer speed and friction. this creates a peacock-like fan of flaming chakra around the opponent. once the attack is finished, the enemy will be sent crashing back to the ground, covered with the attack's aura. the technique is also strong enough to briefly stun a tailed beast as strong as saiken.

MULTIPLE SHADOW CLONE TECHNIQUE

this technique is essentially a massive version of the shadow clone technique. instead of a few clones, it creates a few hundred clones (or a number of equal grandeur). this is considered a kinjutsu, because it can potentially be dangerous to the person performing it, seeing as how all of the clones are given an equal amount of chakra directly from the user. naruto learned the technique from the scroll of forbidden seals. few people are able to use this technique effectively, due to the large amount of chakra it consumes.

MYSTICAL PALM NINJUTSU

this medical ninjutsu allows the user to speed up the body's natural healing process by sending chakra from their hands into a wound or afflicted body part. this allows the user to heal a patient without the need for medical equipment or surgery, making it very useful on the battlefield. it can be used to treat both external and internal injuries. it is vital to match the amount of chakra used to the severity of the affliction or injury. this requires a great amount of chakra control. because of this, only a few highly skilled medical-nin are able to use this technique. by sending an excess amount of chakra into the patient's body, the user can overload the patient's normal circulation, trapping them in a comatose state.. in konohagakure, medical-nin seem to learn this technique by practising with fish.

PUPPET PERFORMANCE: SKILLFUL ACHIEVEMENT WITH A HUMAN BODY

a puppet performance technique where chakra threads are attached to various spots on a person's body; the head, torso, both arms, and both legs. the person being manipulated gains the ability to not only use their own techniques, but the skills of the puppeteer as well. the origins of this technique lie on the battlefield. when a puppeteer's puppets were all destroyed, they would begin using corpses. to perform this technique with a living person would normally require both parties to cooperate with each other. however, a highly skilled user can control the target by force if the person is severely weakened or damaged rendering them unable to resist.

RASENGAN
Ninjutsu, Offensive, Short-Range *

the rasengan does not require any hand seals to use, relying only on the chakra control of the user. once it is complete, it becomes self-sustaining, which does not give the rasengan a definite limit like the chidori. the compacted nature and moving speed of the chakra allows the rasengan to grind into whatever it comes in contact with to inflict major damage. this tends to launch the target spiraling backward after being hit or, if the target is lying on the ground or being launched to the ground, the destructive force is enough to form a crater. the rasengan was designed to use the caster's elemental affinities.

REVERSE LOTUS
Taijutsu, Offensive, Short-Range *

this technique is an advanced and more destructive version of the front lotus, which requires that at least three chakra gates be opened. once enough gates are opened, the user kicks the target into the air and continues to strike them at inhuman speeds before hitting them with a final, powerful open-handed strike and kick at the same time, sending the target crashing into the ground which is usually fatal due to the speed and power behind the attack. because so many chakra gates are opened at once, this technique can only be used once, since the user will likely be unable to stand afterwards. this is proven when lee is left barely able to stand after using it on gaara, and the latter's powerful defences and long-distance attacks allowed him to win the match.

SEALING TECHNIQUE: LION CLOSING ROAR

this sealing technique completely blocks the target's chakra with a sealing formula (封印式, fūin-shiki) drawn on the ground or a wall. this is done by closing all the tenketsu of the person caught in the middle. when the target is sealed, a stylised kanji for "close" or "shut" appears in the middle of the sealing formula. to successfully seal the target, one has to get them exactly inside the sealing formula. this requires great accuracy and is very difficult. various methods can be used to make this easier.

SHURIKEN SHADOW CLONE TECHNIQUE

the user creates a thousand shadow clones from one shuriken, striking down the enemy. this is a technique that combines ninja tools with ninjutsu. compared to normal shadow clones, clones of material objects are said to be on a far higher level. there is no need for preparations beforehand, like stocking up on shuriken, or kunai, yet since the shadow clones are real and not illusions, all the shadow blades that fly around are equally lethal. because the clones form in just an instant, completely evading them is next to impossible. this technique can also be used on fūma shuriken, increasing its lethality.

SUMMONING: TOAD MOUTH BIND

a peculiar technique of partial invocation that summons only an organ: the oesophagus of a great, fire-breathing toad from mount myōboku: rock lodging, sending the enemy into its stomach. if activated inside a building or a cave, this trick can ensnare the enemy without them realising it. in this interior, even the foothold is unreliable, the enemy finds themselves in a tight spot, having a hard time performing at their usual level of skill, and unable to find a proper response. the inside of the oesophagus is highly flexible, and adhesive, and won't even allow liberty of movement. in time, the walls of flesh close in and envelop the enemy, dooming them to go inside the stomach where they will be digested.

SUMMONING: TRIPLE RASHOMON

the summoning: triple rashōmon is an upgrade to the standard summoning: rashōmon, which — as its name suggests — summons not one, but three menacing rashōmon. the technique requires two summoning seals to be completed, and these gates serve the same function as the single rashōmon, but with triple the defence. the first gate takes the attack head-on, the second reduces the attack's power and the third disperses the pressure, causing all attacks that come in contact with it to lose their power before they can be effective. the defensive capabilities of this technique are further boosted by the lack of hand seals required to perform this technique.

TELESCOPE TECHNIQUE

this forbidden technique is a murder-suicide attack, killing both the user and the target. the user makes a one-handed seal with both their hand and the intended victim's. two snakes are then summoned from the user's sleeve, biting both their wrists and killing them with deadly venom.

YIN HEALING WOUND DESTRUCTION

a medical ninjutsu where one anticipates the spot the enemy will attack and pre-emptively applies medical treatment to it, reducing damage to a minimum. the user concentrates chakra to that area and begins the cell recreation process even before the targeted area becomes damaged. using opponent's facial expression and movements, the technique's speed and power, the user analyses everything in an instant and accurately deduces where the attack will land. even more than accurately predicting the attack or instantly gauging the situation, a great resilience is necessary.

the dead demon consuming seal is a seal developed by the uzumaki clan. it invokes the power of a spectral entity known as the shinigami that can only be seen when it grasps one's soul. once called upon, the shinigami hovers behind the user and wraps its left arm with prayer beads, uttering some unintelligible chanting, and after some time a cursed seal appears on its arm. the soul of the summoner is then partially separated from the body and restrained by the shinigami's hair as it thrusts its arm into the user's chest to grab the soul of its target. at the user's command, the shinigami then performs the sealing by dragging the target's soul into the user whose stomach is branded with the seal's mark. however, the sealing is double-edged as the user's soul is devoured by the shinigami along with the target's, both souls trapped for all eternity within the fiend's stomach. it is also possible for the user to seal multiple targets through the use of shadow clones..

EIGHT BRANCHES TECHNIQUE

using the "power of reincarnation" possessed by the white snake as an intermediary, the user can transform into a giant white serpent with eight heads and eight tails. the serpent boasts a giant body, even larger than that of manda, who was feared as the "strongest colossal serpent". just by crawling on the scales of its abdomen it could destroy most things without difficulty. this technique transcends the "snake", and becomes like a "dragon god".

FLYING THUNDER GOD TECHNIQUE

to activate this technique, the user places a special seal or "technique formula" to mark an intended destination. after this is done, they can enter a dimensional void at will that instantaneously transports them to the location of the seal. the mark can be applied to almost any area through brief physical contact, including an opponent or some other surrounding feature. because this technique is able to affect anything that is in contact with the user or somehow connected to their chakra, they can also use this technique to teleport other objects or people, though the size of the object dictates the amount of chakra required. the marking formula never disappears from a marked target.

KIRIN

kirin is an extremely powerful, one-shot, lightning technique. the user draws natural lightning directly from thunder clouds to supplement the power of his strike and controls it with chakra. unlike most techniques, which are based on the user's chakra, this one uses natural lightning, which reaches the ground in 1/1000th of a second. however, the preparation time required also decreases the technique's efficiency. if there are no active thunder clouds, the user must create them by using powerful fire techniques to produce the necessary storm conditions. even stronger storm conditions can be made. once a lightning source has been acquired, shaping and guiding the lightning to the target requires very little chakra. in addition, usage seems to disperse the thunder clouds as the sky cleared up of clouds after use. as such, this technique can only be used once in a fight. the technique can completely obliterate a small mountain.

LIGHTENING CUTTER

the lightning cutter is an enhanced and concentrated form of the chidori with the same effects and drawbacks. according to might guy. because the chidori is already powerful on its own, the lightning cutter requires better chakra control, which is exemplified in its appearance. the chidori appears as simply a mass of white electrical chakra in the user's hand, while the lightning cutter is more focused.

LIVING CORPSE REINCARNATION

if periodically repeated, it grants the user immortality as long as they can find new host bodies and keep them alive. this technique can only be used once every three years. it also seems that when the three years are almost over, the user is forced to move into another host, as the previous one begins to weaken and reject him. presumably, if the user had a proper container, the user could stay in the host for a full lifetime.

ONE'S OWN LIFE REINCARNATION

the user, giving their life force to the target, uses all their chakra as an intermediary. this technique can be used on both the living and dead. using it on the living can save and restore the target from an otherwise fatal condition but will leave the user greatly exhausted. when used on the dead, the user will find certain death in exchange for the soul of the deceased. while in use, the released chakra shines a pale-blue colour, and if the user's own chakra is insufficient, a third party can assist.

RED SECRET TECHNIQUE: PERFORMANCE OF A HUNDRED PUPPETS

to begin this technique, the user removes one summoning scroll from his back. the user then opens his right chest compartment to emit more than a hundred chakra strings, which reach into the scroll. from the scroll, more than a hundred puppets wearing red cloaks emerge. normally a puppet's movement is dependent on the will of the user, and as such there will be a time lag between the user's commands and the puppet's response. however, since these hundred puppets are directly connected to the user's core.

this technique was intended for the dead to be reincarnated into soldiers able to clear a battlefield with devastating and under any other circumstance suicidal attacks. to perform this technique, the user must first acquire some of the dna of the person they intend to reincarnate. the soul of the intended reincarnated must also reside in the pure world; for example, those whose souls have been consumed by the death god cannot be reincarnated. however, if it is a case where the souls are freed from inside the shinigami, then a user of this technique is free to reincarnate them once again. next, a living sacrifice is required for the soul of the reincarnated to use as a vessel. once all prerequisites for the technique have been met, the acquired dna of the person is smeared on a special scroll and once the scroll is activated, the remains spread out in the form of a special seal with the living sacrifice in the centre. then dust and ash encase the sacrifice's body, giving them the same appearance that the reincarnated had at the time of their death. the process is apparently somewhat painful as seen when fū was used to reincarnate torune. the person is then reincarnated and the end product is usually stored in a casket until summoned by the user. the user can theoretically reincarnate a limitless number of people in this way, so long as they have enough sacrifices, chakra and dna to perform the technique. despite this, this technique also has limitations, such as the individual having limitations that inhibited them in life and depending on the summoner's mastery of the technique, the reincarnated individuals might not be brought back with the full power they had in life. however, reincarnating an individual with full power provides a potential risk to the user as the reincarnated can resist the restraining properties before they can have a talisman implanted into their brains.

WHITE SECRET TECHNIQUE: THE CHIKAMTSU COLLECTION OF TEN PUPPETS

after unravelling the carrying scroll, the chikamatsu collection appears from the gate crest. using the puppet technique to manipulate them at will in what is known as the "an amount matching ones fingers" method. with this puppet collection it is literally possible to use one puppet with each finger — each boasting a power matching a thousand puppets put together. however, to use all of these secret mechanisms demands extremely high class expertise and skill.

WIND RELEASE: RASENSHURIKEN

by manipulating the wind-natured chakra of the wind release: rasengan, the user is able to create four large points, causing the rasengan to take on the appearance of a giant fūma shuriken, with the rasengan in the center remaining a perfect sphere. the technique gives off a loud screech-like noise during, and after formation. in order to perform it, the user requires the aid of two shadow clones; he provides the chakra, one clone is responsible for the shape transformation, and the other provides the nature transformation. the rasenshuriken creates countless microscopic wind-blades that severely damage the body on a cellular level. the wind-blades sever all nerve channels in the body, leaving the target unable to move after being struck. they also attack the entire chakra circulatory system, which cannot be repaired by any form of medical ninjutsu whatsoever. depending on the severity of the damage, the victim may not be able to perform a technique ever again.

YIN SEAL RELEASE

after focusing and storing an amount of chakra over a period of time in the strength of a hundred seal on the user's forehead, the user releases the chakra with this technique, dispersing the seal and pumping the chakra back into the users body.

KEKKEI GENKAI

ekkei genkai, also known as blood limits, are abilities passed down genetically within specific clans. it's possible for a shinobi to have more than one of these abilities. kekkei genkai abilities that work via the user's eye are called dōjutsu. other kekkei genkai include mixing one type of elemental chakra with another, creating a new one unique to the users, which is usually impossible for normal ninja, or other bodily manipulations that are usually not achievable by normal standards. not all of these kekkei genkai are tied to a clan. if you wish to use an untied kekkei genkai, then you must create your own clan or speak to an administrator. also please note that many of the following "releases" can be used by properly trained ninja who are not members of the clan. please be aware of any limitations on custom-made jutsus.

blaze release *

is an advanced chakra nature kekkei genkai of the uchiha clan, that allows them manipulate black flames.

boil release *

is one of the two advanced nature kekkei genkai of mei terumī and is made up of techniques that combine fire and water-based chakra to create a powerful corrosive vapour capable of dissolving anything. the user is also able to control the range and level of the vapour's acidity. not only is it dangerous to be near, but as being gaseous, it can cover a considerable range shortly, and go through small spaces. it also stays in the air, so it can potentially deal continuous damage if the enemy is trapped or knocked back into its range.

byakugan *

is the dōjutsu kekkei genkai of the hyūga clan. its power first appeared, alongside the rinnegan, in the oldest known ancestor of the hyūga: kaguya ōtsutsuki. it has become known as one of the three great dōjutsu, along with the sharingan, and the rinnegan. those who inherit the blood of this clan have almost featureless, white eyes and when the byakugan is activated, the user's pupils become more distinct, and the veins near their temples bulge. it also appears that unlike the other two great dōjutsu, all members of the clan possess, and can use this kekkei genkai from birth, as opposed to needing to awaken or else, not inheriting it at all.the primary ability of the byakugan gives the user a near 360º field of vision, except for one blind spot at the back of the neck above the first thoracic vertebra.[10] upon activation of the dōjutsu, the wielder is granted an automatic 50 meter field of vision around themselves which can then be extended at their discretion.

the second ability is being able to see through solid objects, as well as telescopic sight. it can also see through most barriers, and other things such as smokescreens, differentiate between non-corporeal clones and see through techniques that would otherwise hide an opponent from normal sight. the distance and the degree of telescopic sight varies from person to person, and can be improved through training.

crystal release *

crystal release is a rare and specialised field of elemental ninjutsu that can create crystal as well as manipulate already-existing crystals and crystalline structures.

dark release *

dark release is an advanced nature kekkei genkai that can be used to absorb, manipulate, and release chakra taken from an opponent.

dust release *

dust release is an advanced nature kekkei tōta, an advanced version of kekkei genkai, which is created through simultaneous use of the earth, wind, and fire natures. the techniques of this nature initially form as a small three-dimensional object (e.g. a cube, a cone, etc.) composed of chakra that forms between the user's hands. when the technique is released, the form expands and surrounds the target. this nature allows the user to manipulate molecules, giving them the ability to disintegrate anything on a molecular level within the boundaries of the three-dimensional form.

explosion release *

explosion release is an advanced chakra nature kekkei genkai. this chakra nature seems to give the wielder the ability to utilize explosive chakra in combat, allowing them to cause explosions in objects they come into contact with.

ice release *

ice release is the advanced nature kekkei genkai of the yuki clan, and allows the users to combine wind and water-based chakra to create and manipulate ice, forming it into various structures. when the user releases their chakra, the surrounding vicinity becomes could enough to cause snow to fall.

jūgo's clan's kekkei genkai

members of jūgo's clan have unique bodies, which allows them to passively absorb natural energy. this allows them to transform parts of their bodies for several purposes. however, due to the constant absorption, they sporadically feel sudden, uncontrollable urges to kill, causing them to go on a rage. while varied in purpose and function, the body transformations occasioned by this ability are similar looking in that a pattern covers the affected area as the transformation occurs, the skin on the affected area turns brown, and if the transformation occurs in the eyes, their sclerae turns dark as well.

kurama clan's kekkei genkai

every few generations a member of the kurama clan will be born with an incredible talent for genjutsu. the clan member's talent in that field is such that their genjutsu is overwhelming. furthermore, the genjutsu is so powerful that it causes the brain to believe anything that happens to the victim within the genjutsu physically harm their body. this fearsome ability allows the clan member to potentially kill their opponents with genjutsu.

lava release *

lava release is an advanced nature kekkei genkai that combines fire and earth-based chakra to create lava and related substances that can serve multi-faceted purposes.

magnet release *

magnet release is an advanced chakra nature kekkei genkai which allows the user to convert chakra into magnetic forces and magnetize an object. it is unknown where it originates from but both sunagakure and kumogakure possessed users of this kekkei genkai in the past.

mangekyō sharingan *

the mangekyō sharingan, usable by members of the uchiha clan, is awakened through the trauma experienced from the death of a person very close to the sharingan user. with the user normally having to witness or experience this first hand, uchiha throughout history have killed those closest to them in order to expedite this process. to obtain the mangekyō sharingan, one must feel the emotion of losing a friend or family, as merely killing them or watching them die will not activate it.

it is distinguished from a normal sharingan by its appearance, which changes the form of the tomoe seal. unlike the sharingan, the appearance of the mangekyō sharingan differs from user to user with all known wielders of the dōjutsu having eyes that resemble variations of pinwheels; one variation is known as the "straight tomoe", which seems to grant the user fluidity in their movements when fighting.

rinha clan's kekkei genkai

the kekkei genkai of the rinha clan allows them to absorb a person's chakra and duplicate their appearance and memories.

rinnegan *

is reputed as the most exalted eyes amongst the three great dōjutsu. it is characterized by its ripple-like pattern, which spreads over the eyeballs, with either a light purple sclerae and irides, or a red sclerae and irides with a tomoe design. it is said that in times when the world is in disorder, a person is sent down from the heavens to become either a "god of creation", who will calm the world, or a "destroyer", who will reduce everything to nothingness. the rinnegan allows the user to perform the six paths technique.

scorch release *

scorch release is an advanced chakra nature kekkei genkai. this nature creates chakra that is capable of heating up an enemy to the point where all the liquid inside their body evaporates, killing the victim and leaving them a desiccated corpse.

sharingan *

is a dōjutsu kekkei genkai, which appears in some members of the uchiha clan. it first manifested in indra, the earliest ancestor of the uchiha clan, and later became regarded as one of the three great dōjutsu , along with the byakugan and the rinnegan.[29] the sharingan is also called "heaven's eye", because of the many abilities it grants the user. the sharingan's abilities consist of two parts: the "eye of insight" and the "eye of hypnotism". the first of the sharingan's powers is being able to see chakra flow. the sharingan itself gives color to chakra, allowing the wielder to differentiate them. they are also able to tell if a person is under a genjutsu because the person's chakra flow would be irregular. the sharingan's second-most prominent ability grants the user an incredible clarity of perception, allowing them to easily recognize genjutsu and different forms of chakra, though not to the same extent as the byakugan.

shikotsumyaku *

is the kekkei genkai of the kaguya clan, which gave them the ability to manipulate their own skeletal structure (their osteoblasts and osteoclasts). by infusing their calcium with chakra, they could manipulate the growth and properties of their bones to their liking. the ability seems to be rare among the clan members.

steel release *

steel release is an advanced nature kekkei genkai that can be used to make one's body virtually indestructible by turning it into black steel.

storm release *

storm release is an advanced nature kekkei genkai that combines lightning and water-based chakra to create energy beams that can be guided towards the enemy.

swift release *

swift release is an advanced nature kekkei genkai that can be used to move with instantaneous speed, granting the user an advantage over opponents with more strength than speed, such as users of chakra enhanced strength. this nature therefore renders the user invulnerable against most taijutsu.

wood release *

wood release is an advanced nature kekkei genkai formed through simultaneously combining earth-based chakra nature in one hand and water-based in the other. the wood release can create trees or various plants from simple seeds or even flowering plants, and manipulate vegetation, can produce plants from any surface, including the user's body. as the user's chakra is literally converted into a source of life. wood release techniques are commonly affiliated with the snake seal.
