HISTORY OF THE JINCHUURIKI

he jinchuuriki are humans that have tailed beasts sealed within them. they exhibit extraordinary powers due to the immense chakra reserves they possess.

the jinchuuriki are typically lonely people, viewed by those around them as the tailed beasts that had been sealed within them, leading to prejudice and being hated and feared. however, some jinchuuriki refuse to waver, even though they have been shunned, and they eventually earned respect.

long ago before the founding of the hidden villages, during an era of endless wars between mankind, there existed the shinju, a tree that was revered as a deity which bore a fruit once every thousand years. although it was forbidden to consume the shinju's fruit, it was eaten by princess kaguya ōtsutsuki, who used the power it granted her to end the wars plaguing the lands. some time after this, kaguya gave birth to a son who became the first human born with chakra. enraged by the theft of its power, the shinju assumed a monstrous form of what many christened as the "ten-tails".

the ten-tails rampaged throughout the lands until kaguya's son managed to single-handedly defeat the beast and sealed it within himself, becoming the first jinchuuriki in history. this act, along with many other great deeds throughout his lifetime, resulted with kaguya's son revered as the "sage of the six paths". however, knowing that his death would unleash the ten-tails back into the world to continue its rampage and reclaim the chakra that humanity now possesses, the sage separated the monster's chakra from its body before using chibaku tensei to seal the husk in what would become the moon. from there, the sage used his creation of all things ability to divide the chakra into the nine tailed beasts.

centuries later, by the time of the formation of the shinobi villages, the gold and silver brothers of kumogakure were assigned to capture kurama, but were both swallowed whole by the fox. however, they managed to survive by consuming some of its own normally-deadly flesh for two weeks, becoming the first known people since the sage to be tinged with tailed beast chakra. during his time as the first hokage, hashirama used his wood release kekkei genkai to capture and give several tailed beasts to the other shinobi villages as peace treaties, in order to stabilize the balance of power between them. the second kazekage of sunagakure was the first to research the jinchuuriki, with the other villages following soon after, with hopes to use the beasts as weapons in human hosts, or in some cases, keep the beasts from doing harm to their village, sentiments that the tailed beasts absolutely detest.

in order to prevent the jinchuuriki from turning traitor, it is tradition for the host to be selected from the family of the village's own kage. in this way, the jinchuuriki not only has strong ties of loyalty to village and their leader, but they also serve to show off the kage's might. each village has used a different seal when creating their jinchuuriki. for example, konoha used the eight trigrams sealing style, and kumogakure used the iron armor seal.

it's been shown some sort of compatibility between the tailed beast and the potential jinchuuriki is required; to become the host of the ten-tails, one must be a fully living person, as opposed to having an undead body created by summoning: impure world reincarnation. if the tailed beast is removed from its jinchuuriki's body, the jinchuuriki will die. similarly, if the jinchuuriki dies with the tailed beast still sealed within them, the beast will die too. because of this, the tailed beasts tend to be very protective of their jinchuuriki, and will take any action whenever their lives are in danger. however, it is revealed that the tailed beasts can actually survive their jinchuuriki's deaths, with the only consequence being that it will take time for them to revive without a host. also, rare exceptions of a jinchuuriki surviving an extraction may occur, if the said host has high enough stamina.

the seal that keeps the tailed beast within its female jinchuuriki is at its weakest when she is in childbirth, due to the nurturing of the child in the womb taking precedence over the reinforcement of the seal, which weakens the seal in direct proportion. as such, a ninja is required to keep the seal intact during childbirth, and restore the seal back to full power afterwards. a full-term pregnancy for a female jinchuuriki is about ten months. should a jinchuuriki have their tailed beast extracted and either survive the extraction or be revived, remnants of their tailed beast chakra will remain with them.

SHUKAKU

hukaku *, the one-tailed beast, first came into being in the waning days of the sage of the six paths, who used his creation of all things ability to separate the ten-tails' chakra from its body and divide it into nine separate constructs that would come to be known as tailed beasts in order to ensure that it would never resurface after his death. some time after being created, the sage sat down with all the young tailed beasts and told them that they would always be together, even when separated, and that one day they would become one entity again with different names and forms than they did. then, when the time came, they would know what true power is.

shukaku would eventually be captured and kept by sunagakure. the citizens of sunagakure came to believe that shukaku was a living ghost of a corrupted suna priest originally sealed inside a tea kettle. when hashirama senju called the first five kage into the first summit, the first kazekage attempted to use their possession of shukaku as leverage to gain wealth for his nation, as opposed to gaining another tailed beast.

shukaku is cunning, but also incoherent, giving it the demeanour of a madman. because of its innate rage and blood-lust, shukaku relishes the opportunity to kill anyone in sight, even more so during a full moon. like all tailed beasts, shukaku has a strong desire to preserve its own life, and as such, will grant its jinchuuriki the power to control sand as well as allow them to transform into it in a state of need and blood-lust.

shukaku hates kurama for its beliefs that the tailed beasts' strength is measured by the number of tails and, as such, views shukaku as the weakest. due to this, shukaku is willing to oblige to the wishes of humans if it can see a way for it to surpass kurama, though it claims to do so on a whim, not because it had been asked. this also shows that shukaku holds a certain level of pride and confidence in its own capabilities.

shukaku is a sandy-brown coloured tanuki, with black (dark blue in the anime) markings all over its face, body, and tail. it has a jagged, concave mouth and the sclerae of its eyes are black, with yellow irides and pupils that each takes the shape of a black four-pointed star with four black dots around it. during the last days of the sage of the six paths, shukaku in its youth looked the basically same as it does presently, only much smaller.

as a tailed beast, shukaku possesses a large quantity of chakra and can perform the tailed beast ball. the tanuki's most notable ability is its sand manipulation, using it as an effective weapon. since its whole body is completely made of sand, shukaku can ignore most damage that would otherwise be detrimental.. in addition, shukaku is able to use wind release nature transformation, which it uses to perform powerful attacks such as the wind release: drilling air bullet that can create giant craters upon impact. it is shown that whenever shukaku is sealed into its jinchuuriki, it has the ability to eat away its host's personality, and influence him or her with its bloodlust behavior whenever they sleep, which leads its host to develop insomnia.

MATATABI

atatabi *, the two-tailed beast, is a tailed beast that was sealed within members of kumogakure.

matatabi first came into being in the waning days of the sage of the six paths, who used his creation of all things ability to separate the ten-tails' chakra from its body and divide it into nine separate constructs that would come to be known as tailed beasts in order to ensure that it would never resurface after his death. some time after being created, the sage sat down with all the young tailed beasts and told them that they would always be together, even when separated, and that one day they would become one entity again with different names and forms than they did. then, when the time came, they would know what true power is.

like shukaku, many people believed that matatabi was once a human that turned into a living ghost. matatabi eventually fell into the possession of kumogakure. compared to most of the tailed beasts, matatabi has shown to be respectful and polite towards others, speaking in a formal manner using "watashi" when referring to itself and using honorifics when addressing young shinobis.

matatabi is a bakeneko that is completely engulfed in blue flames. it also has a right yellow eye and a left green eye, similar to an odd-eyed cat without pupils. if forced to transform, matatabi increases in size. during the last remaining days of the sage of the six paths' life, matatabi was a young flaming kitten much smaller than its present-day self, but was still much larger than the sage.

as a tailed beast, matatabi possesses an enormous supply of chakra and is able to create the tailed beast ball. the cat has flexible muscles, which grant it great speed despite its large size. matatabi's brute strength is enough to pummel any shinobi. it is able to breathe fireballs powerful enough to destroy a sewer and the building above.

ISOBU

sobu *, the three-tailed beast, is a tailed beast that is sealed in members of kirigakure.

isobu first came into being in the waning days of the sage of the six paths, who used his creation of all things ability to separate the ten-tails' chakra from its body and divide it into nine separate constructs that would come to be known as tailed beasts in order to ensure that it would never resurface after his death. some time after being created, the sage sat down with all the young tailed beasts and told them that they would always be together, even when separated, and that one day they would become one entity again with different names and forms than they did. then, when the time came, they would know what true power is.

at some point in the past, isobu, who was in the possession of kirigakure.

isobu speaks in a shy manner, referring to itself as "boku" which is usually used by young boys.

isobu primarily resembles a large turtle, but with a crab-like shell, and three shrimp-like tails. under its shell, it has red, muscle-like tissue. it has a pair of human-like arms and hands, but no hind-legs. its lower jaw is rather big and has teeth-like horns, together with its big forehead, which also has horns, it somewhat resembles a mouth with big teeth, making it look like the rest of the face is inside the mouth. its eyes are dark and have red pupils. in the anime, the eyes are red with yellow pupils. its right eye is constantly closed, indicating some sort of injury, and because of this, it is particularly vulnerable to attacks directed at its right eye. during the last remaining days of the sage of the six paths, isobu was much smaller than it currently is but was still many times larger than the sage.

as a tailed beast, isobu possesses an enormous amount of chakra and can perform the tailed beast ball. it also has the ability to create coral, and swim at very high speeds. isobu has also been shown to be able to roll into a ball and attack its opponents, making full use of its shell and its many protrusions in a manner similar to the akimichi clan's spiked human bullet tank. its tough skin and shell also provides additional defense for isobu, allowing it to withstand nearly all forms of attack. its only known physical weakness it possessed was its eye, as hard as its skin and armored shell are, it cannot harden its eyes and so seems to keep one closed at all times.

it could create shockwaves to repel attacks and produce a large tidal wave that spread away from it in all directions; it could strike with any of its three spiked tails to break through most defences. of isobu's more specialised abilities, it could produce a hallucinogenic mist that exploited the victim's insecurities and forced the victim to face them. it could also shoot powerful chakra-infused water balls. when it ate something, thousands of miniature versions of itself would attack what it had eaten within its stomach, presumably to speed up the digestion process. in addition to its anime appearance, the beast was shown capable of materializing an entrance to a separate dimension in which it could hide its presence, until it was ready to return.

SON GOKU

on Gokū *, the four-tailed beast, is a tailed beast sealed within members of iwagakure.

son gokū first came into being in the waning days of the sage of the six paths, who used his creation of all things ability to separate the ten-tails' chakra from its body and divide it into nine separate constructs in order to ensure that it would never resurface after his death. some time after being created, the sage sat down with all the young tailed beasts and told them that they would always be together even when separated, and that one day they would become one entity again with different names as well as forms than they did then when the time came for them to understand what true power is.

son gokū eventually fell into the possession of iwagakure.

son gokū is a very prideful tailed beast, as it detests being called by the name "four-tails" and boasts about its lineage. it uses "ore" when referring to itself.

it also hated humans, due to the fact that humans had enslaved it, and believes that apes are more intelligent than humans. however, when talking about the sage of the six paths, it showed him great respect. son has a high amount of respect for those who respect the tailed beasts.

son gokū is a red-furred and green-skinned monkey, with a body-build of a gorilla. it has eyes with yellow irides and white pupils, spike-like protrusions along the length of its tails, elongated blunt fangs, and two long horns curving upwards on its forehead like a crown (both its fangs and horns are dark-tipped). in its mouth, son has a big, round opening, from where it spits lava, and it doesn't seem to have a tongue. during the last remaining days of the sage of the six paths, son was much smaller and had smaller fangs.

as a tailed beast, son gokū possesses an enormous supply of chakra and is able to create the tailed beast ball. son also has the ability to simultaneously combine its earth and fire natures, to spit lava from its mouth. in addition, it has a great deal of physical strength.

KOKUO

okuō *, the five-tailed beast, is a tailed beast sealed within members from iwagakure.

kokuō first came into being in the waning days of the sage of the six paths, who used his creation of all things ability to separate the ten-tails' chakra from its body and divide it into nine separate constructs that would come to be known as tailed beasts in order to ensure that it would never resurface after his death. some time after being created, the sage sat down with all the young tailed beasts and told them that they would always be together, even when separated, and that one day they would become one entity again with different names and forms than they did. then, when the time came, they would know what true power is. kokuō eventually fell into the possession of iwagakure.

kokuō seems to be a quiet and reserved individual. though it does not speak much, kokuō uses the rather old-fashioned "watakushi" when referring to itself, causing it to come across as very polite.

kokuō primarily resembles a white horse, but with a dolphin's head. it has two pointed long horns and three (two in the anime) shorter horns in front. the ends of its horns, hooves, and tails are light brown, with some of the same-coloured spots before the brown areas of its horns and hooves. it also has red markings under its dark blue-green eyes. during the last remaining days of the sage of the six paths, kokuō was much smaller than it is now and its horns were also shorter.

as a tailed beast, kokuō has a great amount of chakra and is able to use it to create a tailed beast ball. kokuō uses its horns in combat, it has shown enough ramming-force to injure any shinobi.

SAIKEN

aiken *, the six-tailed beast, is a tailed beast sealed within members of kirigakure.

saiken eventually fell into the possession of kirigakure.

though much has not been seen of saiken's personality, the giant slug uses "ore" when referring to itself, "ore" being a boastful way of saying "i". it also speaks with a dialect which may possibly be ōsakaben in origin. saiken also seemed to be kinder and not as self-serving and malicious as most other tailed beasts.

saiken resembles a large white, with a slight light blueish tint, bipedal slug with stubby arms and feet. it has two prominent optical tentacles (eyes) and hole-like openings as a mouth. its entire body is covered in a slimy substance. during the last remaining days of the sage of the six paths, saiken was much smaller than its present-day self, but was still much larger than the sage.

as a tailed beast, saiken has a great amount of chakra and it is able to use it to create a tailed beast ball. saiken is able to emit corrosive substances that are extremely dangerous on contact in the form of a liquid or a gas, which was able to burn the skin of another tailed beast. the gaseous form was able to instantly disintegrate a tree that came into contact with it.

CHOMEI

hōmei *, the seven-tailed beast, is a tailed beast sealed within members from takigakure.

chōmei first came into being in the waning days of the sage of the six paths, who used his creation of all things ability to separate the ten-tails' chakra from its body and divide it into nine separate constructs that would come to be known as tailed beasts in order to ensure that it would never resurface after his death. some time after being created, the sage sat down with all the young tailed beasts and told them that they would always be together, even when separated, and that one day they would become one entity again with different names and forms than they did. then, when the time came, they would know what true power is. chōmei eventually fell into the possession of takigakure.

chōmei seems to have a happy, go-lucky personality — which it seemingly shares with its jinchuuriki, referring to itself as "lucky seven chōmei" which might be an allusion to the fact that it has seven tails and the number seven having long been seen as a lucky as well as happy number.

chōmei resembles a blue, armoured kabutomushi, with six of its seven tails resembling green insect wings, along with the seventh tail, all growing from the end of its abdomen. the stem of the tail is green but the wings are orange. its eyes seem to be covered by a helmet-like skull, from inside of which, an orange glow can be seen. it also has spike protrusions on its shoulders and a row of slits on each shoulder, and six legs — three on each side. the legs are also covered by the blue armor, with the exception of extreme ends which are green in colour. during the last remaining days of the sage of the six paths, chōmei was just in its larval stage of development but still had its tails.

as a tailed beast, chōmei possesses massive amounts of chakra and is able to use the tailed beast ball. it also has the ability to fly, and uses a variety of insect-based techniques such as bug bite.

GYUKI

yūki *, the eight-tailed beast, is a tailed beast sealed members of kumogakure.

gyūki first came into being in the waning days of the hagoromo ōtsutsuki, who used his creation of all things ability to separate the ten-tails' chakra from its body and divide it into nine separate constructs that would come to be known as tailed beasts in order to ensure that it would never resurface after his death. some time after being created, hagoromo ōtsutsuki sat down with all the young tailed beasts and told them that they would always be together, even when separated, and that one day they would become one entity again with different names and forms than they did. then, when the time came, they would know what true power is. gyūki eventually fell into the possession of kumogakure.

however, its ferocity was so great that none of its former jinchuuriki could control it. they would lose control, and gyūki would go on a rampage and destroy the village, requiring the third raikage to form a special coalition to subdue it. during one of its rampages, the third fought gyūki alone allowing his comrades to escape. during this encounter the third managed to cut all of the beast's tails off, but both him and gyūki collapsed with their techniques before they could finish the battle. during another encounter, the third extracted it from its previous jinchuuriki, and sealed it within a member of kumogakure.

at some point in the past, one kumo-nin attempted to mimic the gold and silver brothers by eating one of gyūki's chakra meat tentacles in the hopes of gaining the power like a jinchuuriki, but died in the process.

gyūki is characterised as a tough and serious individual. it uses "ore" when referring to itself and often speaks in a somewhat rude dialect. in addition, gyūki was also shown to have a good analytical ability. with regards to its relationship with the other tailed beasts, gyūki mentioned that it and its brethren disliked kurama for its habit of ranking their strength based on their number of tails. however, it has hinted a benevolent side.

gyūki is an ushi-oni with four long horns on its head, similar to that of a jacob sheep. like all tailed beasts, its an extremely massive creature, so much so that it dwarfs entire forests and towers over large rock formations and buildings. the lower left part of its horns was permanently sliced off in a battle with a, and the right horns were destroyed by its own point-blank tailed beast ball when fighting the ten-tails. it also has straight teeth, one of which was blown off during the point-blank tailed beast ball. it has a muscular upper-body structure, with a hunched back similar to an american bison, arms with spiked protrusions on the elbows, and hands with opposable thumbs like that of a human. it has no hind-legs, instead its lower half is made up of its tails which consist of eight tentacles that resemble the cephalopod arms of an octopus. these tails will grow back in the event that they are sliced off. it is also extremely massive, matching the giant squid in size. during the last remaining days of hagoromo ōtsutsuki, gyūki was smaller and its horns were much shorter.

as a tailed beast, gyūki possesses a massive supply of chakra and is able to use the tailed beast ball, as well as fire them in rapid succession at a target. a single tailed beast ball from it could penetrate nine of the thirty-six barriers without even exploding. going with its octopus theme, gyūki can also produce ink to blind its enemies as well as form ink clones to bind them. it can also generate enormous tornadoes which can level an entire forest with ease. its enormous horns are incredibly sharp, capable of easily impaling a human being.

gyūki has immense physical strength, being able to temporarily restrain kurama, contain a direct tailed beast ball from the fox, and completely stop isobu in full motion using only its extended tentacles, along with swiping kokuō‎ aside at the same time. its tentacles offer it several additional appendages with which to interact with its surroundings and strike targets, but they are also easily severed. even with its immense size, it has shown a high level of speed when it attacks.

gyūki has been shown to be very intelligent. he is also very perceptive.

KURAMA

urama *, the nine-tailed beast, is a tailed beast sealed within members of konohagakure.

kurama first came into being in the waning days of the sage of the six paths, who used his creation of all things ability to separate the ten-tails' chakra from its body and divide it into nine separate constructs that would come to be known as tailed beasts in order to ensure that it would never resurface after his death. some time after being created, the sage sat down with all the young tailed beasts and told them that they would always be together, even when separated, and that one day they would become one entity again with different names and forms than they did. then, when the time came, they would know what true power is. over the centuries, kurama has gained a reputation as an age-old natural disaster, appearing suddenly out of nowhere to attack areas that have been breeding grounds for the darkest aspects of human nature.

at one point during the time of the formation of the shinobi villages, the gold and silver brothers of kumogakure were assigned to capture kurama, but were both swallowed whole by the fox. however, the two brothers managed to survive and gain some of its power by eating the flesh of its stomach for two weeks, forcing kurama to regurgitate them.

after that event, madara uchiha defected from konoha and used his sharingan to control and use kurama to help him fight against hashirama senju, the first hokage, in order to exact his revenge. during their battle, madara combined his susanoo with kurama, increasing the latter's offensive and defensive capabilities. however, hashirama was able to remove kurama from susanoo and released the tailed beast from madara's control, subduing it in the process.

kurama is a cynical and shrewd individual, along with a somewhat twisted sense of humour. it uses "washi" when referring to itself, which is generally used by older men. kurama is also very prideful, as it was easily provoked when madara intentionally belittled it before subjugating it, and believes that a tailed beast's strength is determined by its number of tails, which earned the fox nothing but disapproval from its brethren, especially shukaku. however, it is shown that kurama deeply cares about the sage of the six paths, viewing him with great respect and even shed tears after the sage had imparted his final words to them.

kurama is also shown to have a more comical side to it.

although kurama is a kitsune with red-orange fur and red eyes, it possesses the upper-body structure of a human, complete with opposable thumbs on its clawed hands. during the last remaining days of the sage of the six paths, young kurama was much smaller than its present-day self, but was still much larger than the sage. as time passed, kurama's size increased to be around the same height as the hokage monument, before it shrunk.

as a tailed beast, kurama possesses massive reserves of powerful chakra and can perform the tailed beast ball, as well as fire them in rapid succession at a target. the fox was able to create a tailed beast ball equaling the size and power of that collaboratively formed by five other tailed beasts. kurama can also create destructive shock waves that are strong enough to knock back five tailed beasts at once. kurama also has the ability to sense negative emotions. it was shown to be able to generate twisters and breathe fire.

kurama has a great deal of brute force, being reputed to be able to raise tsunamis and flatten mountains with just a single swipe from one of its tails. kurama's power was so great, hashirama senju — the god of shinobi himself — made it a priority to suppress the fox during his battle with madara uchiha, and even claimed it was just too strong. despite losing half of its chakra, kurama still retains immense power.

kurama is also very cunning and it can formulate strategies in the midst of battle. in addition, kurama has remarkable leadership skills. kurama is also shown to be very knowledgeable of fūinjutsu, being able to quickly determine their natures and weaknesses.

kurama can also accumulate and create a huge amount of chakra in a short amount of time once it has used up most of its own. the amount of chakra it generated was sufficient enough to be passed on to nearly everyone in the shinobi alliance.

despite proclaiming itself to be the strongest of the tailed beasts, kurama is well aware of its own limitations.

SHINJU

hinju *, the ten-tailed beast, is the primordial entity and the original tailed beast tied to the legend of the sage of the six paths. its chakra was divided into the nine tailed beasts and its body sealed into what would be the moon, by the sage at the end of his life. considered to be the progenitor of the world, its revival would herald the end of it.

the shinju is an impartial entity and was completely devoid of feelings or even ideals as it stayed impartial and almost ambivalent to the constant wars that were waged around it by mankind. but as the tree became the ten-tails, it was singular in its goal: to reclaim the power that had been taken from it and as kurama noted, this form of singularity in its mindset made it impossible for those to sense it through such means such as involving detecting negative emotions or even chakra due to its vast power. individuals in sage mode are best able to gain some sense of the beast's power, and even then it appears unmeasurable and overwhelming; kurama likens the ten-tails to be an innate force of nature. but the ten-tails appears to be a sapient being to some extent as it reacts to seeing the presence of the tailed beasts.

the ten-tails is a cyclops-like humanoid in appearance with a conch shell-like upper body with long, spiked-like protrusions on its back. its unique red eye, taking up most of its head, has four concentric circles with nine tomoe in the three circles closest to the pupil. in a later appearance, the ten-tails' look was a bit more "crass". the spiky protrusions on its back were much higher, resembling a conch shell, and its tails were bushier. it appears to have a tan skin colour.

in its final form, it changes into a gargantuan tree or what appears to be a flower-like palm tree that appears to be its true and original form.

as the original form of all nine tailed beasts, the ten-tails was said to possess massive and overwhelmingly foul chakra that is potent enough to bring total despair and destruction to the world. not only is the ten-tails the source of all chakra, but also the progenitor of everything that exists in the world. it is a god that created countries and has the power to swallow oceans, split the land, and carry mountains. in addition, kurama admitted that it alone wouldn't even stand a chance against the ten-tails, and stated that the sage told them that its revival would result in the end of the world. although the ten-tails possesses great power, much like the other tailed beasts it is unable to use it effectively due to not having enough intelligence to focus its power without being under someone else's control.

as the original tailed beast, the ten-tails can create a tailed beast ball. in the beast's initial form, the ball is fired as a continuous beam and is able to overwhelm multiple tailed beast balls. the power of the tailed beast ball in this form also creates a powerful shockwave, which reaches all the back to its source, despite having been tilted its attack far away, using an earth release technique.

even in an incomplete state, the ten-tails possesses immense physical strength and is remarkably fast, despite its tremendous size. it casually flicked back a tailed beast ball with one of its fingers. it could cause a mass-scale earthquake, upturning large portions of land by simply slamming its hand on the ground. the beast has extreme durability and can remain unfazed even after sustaining massive damage.

a single swipe of its tail was can create a shockwave powerful enough to tear up the landscape around it. in its second form, the beast's tails become elongated arms, which effortlessly broke free from the various restraints created by the allied forces. the beast seems capable of freely expanding the length and thickness of these tails, using them in order to attack distant foes. its single eye is able to see across extremely vast distances, and can see chakra. after further amassing its chakra, the ten-tails' roar can stir a series of massive natural disasters. when restrained by hashirama senju, it spawned an army of clones to avoid being captured. they are of many shapes and sizes ranging from humanoid to animal-like in appearance, several of them with weapon-like appendages on their arms. these clones are created directly from the beast's body mass and was later shown to be an extension of its ability to not only regenerate, but to remove parts of its body. this was seen after its body was consumed in the flames of scorch release: halo gale jet black arrow style zero, the beast easily purged the burning flesh from its main body. as another defensive means, it could quickly forms new arms anywhere on its body to grab enemies who are navigating on it.
